Introduction
WristFlex ("the app") is a social app for watch collectors: you build a public collector profile, upload photos of your watches, and the community reacts with likes, comments, value estimates, and This-or-That votes. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account & identity — the email and password you sign up with, or your Apple ID name/email if you use Sign in with Apple.
- Collector profile — your display name, city, avatar, referral code, and the badges, follower, and following counts you build up by using the app.
- Watch content — photos and details (brand, model, reference number, year, case size, condition) you upload. Public by design — it's the point of the app — unless you mark a watch as private (Premium), in which case it is visible only to you.
- Activity — the likes/passes, value estimates, This-or-That votes, and comments you give and receive, and messages you send in conversations you start about a watch.
- Technical data — device identifiers, IP address, and app usage, used for security, ad delivery, and keeping the swipe feed working smoothly.
Who sees your likes and votes: nobody. Likes, passes, and This-or-That votes are always aggregated into counts — the app never shows anyone, including the watch's owner, who swiped or voted which way on a specific watch. WristFlex itself does keep this activity linked to your account internally (not shown to other users) so we can calculate rankings, keep This-or-That from repeating watches you've just seen, and understand aggregate trends — never to sell your individual activity.
How We Use Your Data
- To create and secure your account, and to authenticate you via Supabase (our backend provider).
- To display your profile, watches, and stats to other users — the core purpose of the app.
- To calculate badges, follower counts, rankings, and crowd value-estimate averages.
- To serve ads via Google AdMob, personalized only if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission.
- To process the auto-renewable Premium subscription (monthly or yearly) via Apple's StoreKit, and to verify its status server-side with Apple.
- To analyze aggregated, de-identified activity to improve the app and, potentially, produce aggregate market insights — never tied back to an individual account when shared outside the company.
Advertising
If you're not a Premium subscriber, the app shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. On iOS, the app asks for App Tracking Transparency permission before showing personalized ads. If you decline, you'll still see ads — just not personalized to you.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase — database, authentication, and photo storage.
- Apple StoreKit — processes the Premium subscription.
- Google AdMob — ad serving, as described above.
- Chrono24 market data — the price ranges shown on watch cards come from an aggregated, periodically-crawled reference catalogue. This data is not tied to your account or activity.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your individual data. Watch photos and profile details you post are public by design. Everything else (technical data, unaggregated activity like your specific likes, votes, or comments) is only shared with the service providers above, to the extent needed to run the app.
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures, including those provided by Supabase, to protect your data from accidental loss, unauthorized access, or misuse.
Your Choices
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Your profile, stats, and badges are deleted. Your uploaded watches, likes/passes, and This-or-That votes are anonymized (unlinked from you) rather than deleted outright, to preserve the community's aggregate numbers — but your comments and value estimates are deleted along with your account.
- You can turn off ad personalization at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- You can report or block any user directly from their profile or a watch card.
Your Legal Rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us at the address below to exercise these rights.
Children's Privacy
WristFlex is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
